Families
Families come in all different shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. No two are exactly alike. Our differences are beautiful, yet those same unique qualities can sometimes drive a wedge between us. We can bridge the gap with some tender loving care, yet the matriarchs and patriarchs of the family may not always have the perfect solutions. That's where my practice of family therapy can be a dynamic modern solution to the age old problem of the one-size fits all methodology.
My approach to Family Therapy provides a safe intervention that facilitates connections that are active and directive towards your family's current life circumstances, with a primary focus on building trust. I'll work with you and your loved ones during therapeutic converstations, providing motivational guidance with strategies that are refreshing, rapid, fundamental, and stable, emphasizing the strengths and resources of all the participating members of your family. Some of the evidence-based models we'll focus on include, but are not limited to personality theory, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), SFBT (solution focused brief therapy), BSFT (brief strategic family therapy), PREP (prevention and relationship education program), EFT (emotionally focused therapy).
Common reasons for seeking family therapy include:
