FAQs

What are your professional values?

I model and endorse mental health and intervention efforts while working in relationship with clients, caregivers, families, and colleagues to provide care and intervention in ways that respect and value diversity to include age, race, culture, disability, gender, spirituality, and sexuality .

What's the difference between talking to you or my best friend or family?

The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally and confidentially. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way - teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, and listen to you without judgment or expectations.

Do you accept virtual appointments?

For client care, I only offer telehealth services at the moment.

Do you offer in-person trainings?

Yes, I can work with you to accommodate your schedule. Please contact me to discuss arrangements in detail.

Do I have to have insurance?

No, you do not need health insurance in order to be a client. We can set up a payment structure without filing through an insurance company.

How long will it take?

Unfortunately, that's not a simple one to two sentence answer. Everyone's circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
